Hannah....Our Last Sonogram!

Wow...yesterday we had our monthly check up. We get a sonogram every time, which I just love. I love to see her heart beat....and her kick (even though I can definately feel it!) Oh it was so amazing! Alex had the video camera going...as the start of her own little video tape (we are hoping to get the birth as well) and I had the camera. For some reason we were able to see her face SO CLEARLY! Oh it was so amazing!!! And to think we will be holding our precious bundle in just a little over two weeks! It hardly seems real! We are so blessed, and so excited! So I thought I would share this amazing picture of her! You can see one hand as well!! Look carefully! You'll see her!! As of now, she will be born on Monday June 16th....(a scheduled csection).

Snow Storm in Tegucigalpa, Honduras!

I was upstairs looking for something on the computer real fast while the kids were "watching a video". I should know better by now....if there is silence....and Caleb is involved. So I come down....to a snow storm in Central America. Caleb was singing Christmas carols....and they were throwing the snow up in the air! Now....as I am scolding them....(the "snow" came from a pillow on the couch...a BIG pillow as you can see)....I'm quietly looking for the camera. I did not want this to be a "Kodak moment" and make it appear that it was OK to do this...however....if I am going to have to pick this up anyway.....it might as well be documented (it was kinda funny). Once I figure out how to upload videos...I will show you the video of this moment....of Caleb singing Jingle Bells...or something like that. And you thought weather was weird in Texas?!

First Trip to the Dentist

Well, my two little troopers did a GREAT job today at the dentist! It was the first visit for both of them. We are happy to announce that they are both cavity free for the moment! They will both go back for a cleaning, and then to seal the molars this week and next week. They both did such a great job!

Fun in the Sun!

These last few weeks have been HOT. HOT, HOT, HOT. And dry. These pictures were taken a few days ago of them enjoying the sprinkler!! I think the pictures say it all!

Our Hairstylist Caleb...

So we take the Sara to get a haircut. Her hair is fine, so we like to trim it up a bit to make it look thicker and not so straggly (is that a word?). We had just gotten home...no more than 10 minutes...and I ran upstairs to do something real fast. The next thing I know...Caleb comes upstairs with a chunk of hair in his hands!!! Now for being this pregnant....I think I went down those stairs pretty fast to go assess the damage.....ooooooooooooooooooh boy. Right in front. Of course. Can't miss it. Especially with Sara's fine hair. See what looks to be a part in the bangs? HA! Not quite a part. That HUGE GAP....well....was big brother.....trying his skill on haircutting. I about cried! So we try to push what bangs she does have over to the side....to cover up big brother's mischieveous ways. This all happens of course RIGHT before we take some official family photos before the baby comes! But .....hair grows......

Last Ladies Luncheon of the School Year

Today we had our last ladies luncheon of the school year. Two will not be returning next year because the Lord has called their families elsewhere (one to the states the other to South Korea). I will miss those two a TON, good byes have never been my forte. It's just one of those things living down here....you have to know that people come and go....as the Lord leads. Also, another dear friend won't be back until next January, so she will be missed so much too. It will be very different come next fall. But we had a lovely time together of fellowship and prayer...like we always do. I am so thankful for the friendships God has given me!! Here is a picture of our lunch up the mountain today at a sweet little restaurant.

"Mañana"

You know, tomorrow never comes down here. It's quite the word actually. It gives hope. Be it a false hope, but hope nonetheless. Our car has been in the shop for over a month now. I've been quite the homebound mommy these days, which is not all bad. But....little things....like groceries....are nice to have every now and then!!! and with the traffic the way it is in this city...it takes several hours to just go to the grocery store. Seriously. I would have to have the car back to Alex in time for him to do what he needs to do. Therefore....bare cupboards.

But that is not the issue here. The issue here is.....why is it so hard to tell the truth??? The WHOLE truth. The car was supposed to be ready last Thursday. We have been hearing the word "mañana" ever since. Today was really going to be the real mañana though. So we load up the whole fam in the car....and go clear to the other part of town (for those of you who have been here...past the airport) during rush hour mind you.......to pick that puppy up. It was supposed to be done by 1:00. We knew better. So we showed up at 4:00. We wait. We wait some more. Then we see one of the helper mechanics go out to the car to try to start it up. Did you catch the word TRY there? Yep. Didn't start. So....they recharge the battery...etc...and to make a LONG story short. We will go back and get the car.....well.....yep....you guessed it.....mañana.
